Celtic Knots

The wind whipped over the girl, causing her long
hair to fly up, letting the thong that held it come
undone. She had felt that today was going to bring
bad omens and it did from the second she got out of
bed.
That morning as she groggily brought herself down
the winding steps of her parent's cape cod house, she
heard voices. One was her mother's, the other two she
could not recognize, but she would soon meet the owners
of them. The man's voice was explaining why the two voices
were there.
" You see I have been wanting to come and meet Aeriana for
years, but of course you wouldn't let me. I think now that
she is fifteen she is old enough to handle the fact that
I am her father and the man that has claimed to be all
of these years is not. Don't you think?"

" No, as a matter of fact I do not. She is already
going through so much, this would only confuse her more.
I know you want to meet her, but now is not the ti..."

Her mother did not get a chance to finish her sentence as Aeriana walked
into the den.
" What's going on?"
" Aeriana?", the man asked as if he was astonished that she held that name.
"I am your father, David.", her mother tried to interupt, but could not stop him
"This is my wife, Bethany, and we're here to say that we want to take you home to Ireland with us."

And now she was on her way to tell her best friends good by.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You're doing what?"
"Going where?"
"With who?"

She knew this was the reaction she was going to get from
her three not only best, but only friends.

"I have to go, I don't want to lose the oppertunity to see
who and where I came from. Would you? I know you would do the same thing!"

They all looked at her in disbelief, and then turned to walk away.
She walked away too, she had alot of packing to do.

The plane ride to Brookes, Ireland was long, but
Aeriana slept the whole trip. She enjoyed the sites
she saw on the cart ride out of the small, but cute town,
but did her best not to talk to her newly pronounced father.
As the cart approached an old and what seemed to be everso classically enchanted
castle, she gasped and whispered,"I wish I could be the one who lived
there, Maybe it's magic would fall on me and I could be lucky for once.
David just smiled and Bethany leaned over to whisper in her ear " Then it's magic must already working on you,
it's ours."
Aeriana's eyes lit up in suprise as she took in every inch of the castle she could see from the point she was at
from the lion statues at the base to the protective gargoyles at the top.
